Finally She Spoke - The Stupidity of Silence

Description

September 2nd Thursday Meeting

Finally She Spoke - The Stupidity of Silence

PrimeTime is excited to welcome the acclaimed theatre director & film maker, Sangeeta Nambiar, as our speaker for the September "2nd Thursday" meeting.

Sangeeta believes in using theatre to move our collective consciousness as a society and particularly around issues of unconscious bias and the continuing subtle patricarchy that continues to hold women back from developing their full potential.
She created the critically acclaimed "Finally She Spoke" monologue to invite women to use their voices and call out patriarchy whenever they experience it instead of allowing it to continue, cloaked in our collective silence.

With immense wit and humour Sangeeta will explore some of the reality around patriarchy in our society and the importance of ending the silence.
"Whenever one person stands up and say 'wait a minute, this is wrong,' It helps other people do the same" - Gloria Steinem.
